Flinders University has developed the Flinders University International Travel Scholarship to assist students in enhancing their Flinders University studies by providing an international perspective.
Benefits
Each year, one or more grants of $500 (short term) or $1,000 (semester) will be awarded, depending on financial availability.
The scholarship will be provided for study abroad for no more than six months. Applicants will be eligible for a scholarship to help cover the cost of economy class international airfares and domestic travel with the nominated program, as well as additional living expenses while in-country, such as lodging and meals.

Eligibility
Applicants must:
Applicants must: be an enrolled onshore student in an undergraduate course at Flinders University at the time of application and throughout the duration of their scholarship; and have successfully completed at least 36 units of the undergraduate course at the commencement of overseas study; or have successfully completed at least 18 units of the postgraduate course at the commencement of overseas study; and be accepted into a semester length international WIL project or be accepted into a semester length international WIL project.
If the subsidy holder fails to meet the eligibility standards outlined above, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
Selection Criteria
The Flinders University International Travel scholarship will be given based on academic performance and the extent to which an applicant’s proposed program of study will improve their Flinders University courses by providing an international perspective. Student Finance Services and Flinders International will be consulted before making a decision.
Exchange Program Applicants
A Flinders University Exchange Program application will be considered an application for this scholarship. For semester or year-long exchange scholarships, no additional application is necessary. Before applying, interested students should check with their College Office to ensure that their proposed program of study is appropriate for credit towards their Flinders University programme.
Short-Term Mobility Applicants
Applications for travel in each semester should be filed electronically through the Flinders University Student System by the given deadline. To submit an application, applicants must login and go to the My Scholarships tab.
