The Maintenance Technician is in charge of repairing, diagnosing, adjusting, overhauling, servicing, and maintaining mobile heavy-duty mining equipment and reports to the Mine Maintenance Supervisor.

In This Position, You Will:
- Examine the performance of graders, bulldozers, cranes, and other heavy machinery, and inspect the apparatus to find problems and malfunctions.
- To determine the scope and nature of the work that needs to be done, inspect, examine, and test the parts;
- Bolters, jumbo drills, haul trucks, and other subterranean equipment should all be checked for proper operation, and equipment should be inspected to find flaws and malfunctions.
- To ensure that the work complies with the manufacturer’s standards and that restored systems perform as intended, test and modify them.
- The equipment systems’ faulty parts and components should be adjusted, repaired, or replaced.
- Final checks to confirm that the work specified on the work order has been finished under safety regulations.
- Utilizing computers and other testing tools, identify defects or malfunctions to determine the extent of the necessary repair.
- Equipment should be cleaned, lubricated, and undergo other regular maintenance.
- Follow safety standards and work norms; • Use the proper service tools and working equipment.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in heavy-duty mechanics, automotive repair, or heavy equipment from a college.
Requirements
- Prior experience in heavy construction and/or mining.
Skills
- Strong expertise in CAT Epiroc, Hitachi, Sandvik, and Maclean Mining Equipment repair and maintenance.
- Excellent familiarity with and enthusiasm for digital diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong ability to troubleshoot Heavy Duty electrical, hydraulic, and drivetrain systems.
- Display effective verbal and written communication abilities.
